The Australian Parliament

The Australian Parliament is located in Canberra.  Parliament House in Canberra is open every day from 9.00am to 5.00pm (closed Good Friday and Christmas Day).  It is free to visit.  If Parliament is sitting and you are visiting Canberra, please contact me – I would be happy to give you a personal, guided tour (including behind the scenes) of this impressive building.  It truly is a building for all Australians and a building to be proud of.

Watch Parliament Live

Technology has now made it possible to watch Parliament live on your computer. Easy to do, just go to the Parliamentary website at www.aph.gov.au and click on the tab marked "Live Broadcasting". You'll find this site wonderful for most of your Parliamentary needs including Hansard (the Parliamentary record); details about Members of the House of Representatives; the Senate; a sittings calendar; details of Committees and much more. It will also provide you with links to each Member's parliamentary page and an entry point for their personal websites (including the Leader of the Opposition the Hon Tony Abbott MP .Click to here to visit mine.
